Blog #3 how prevalent is sexual assault on collage campuses

Before research.

What i believe before my research is that sexual assault on collages happen more then we would like to believe it does. I believe my research will find that it happens more then the average person believes.
Research.
At least one if four women will be assaulted during their academic career.
At least 80% of sexual assaults will be committed by an acquaintance of the victim.
About 49% of college women who's attacks fall under rape never considered what happened to them as rape.
on average at 50% of collage students sexual assaults are associated with alcohol use.
Drugs are often used as a coercion rather then force to get a victim to comply.
Sexual assault is the most under-reported violent crime in the united states.
13% of completed rape 35% of attempted rapes and 23% threatened happen during a date

Conclusions
The data i was given for stats did contradict each other but not by much. My question i feel was answered and it supported my thoughts of before my research. Rape in collage is at a high level.

Addiction-blog #2

The definition of drug is any article, other than food, intended to affect the structure or any function other animals.

Addiction is a complex illness with uncontrollable craving along with seeking for the addiction while not thinking about the consequences, or not caring what those consequences are.

While the path to drug addiction is easy to get on to its is hard to get off it can take months to get off and it could be years to get rid of the craving.

We try to combat the problem of drugs by arresting people or sending them to rehabilitation centers. If you get sent to rehab right after drug use they will usually remove them is a detox because it can impair you mental abilities you need for the treatment to work.

With getting over withdrawal there are some medications they can give you but they prescribe them more to adults then they do to children or teens.

Admissions percentages. for use

23.1 for alcohol only
18.3 for alcohol and another drug
17 for marijuana
14.1 for heroin

Ethnicity

59.8 White
20.9 African american
13.7 hispanic
2.3 american indian or alaska native
1 asian
2.3 other

almost 12% are people under 20

Laws approach to fixing the problem

83% of incarcerated inmates have done drugs in their past.
51% admit to using drugs abuse while committing there crime.
legal drugs (that take a prescription and not) take up to 70% of the drugs abused.

They try to send them to treatment if possible so we can reduce demand for drugs When we find a distributor we strip down there equipment so its harder for people to get drugs on the street again.

Are personal rights we are guarantied make it difficult for cops to get someone on drugs even if they know it for a fact yet if there is no proof but word of mouth it is hard to get a warent to search.  This can be a down side to are freedom that we need to deal with things like this.

MY conclusions In this topic is that instead of sending people to jail send them to rehab so we dry up the demand and find more people that have been known to do drugs and you have a strong feeling they are doing it tail them to find there dealer.
